Pumpkin Festival in Candia, New Hampshire
It’s October! That means Fall and kicking off the best season of the year here at Charmingfare Farm. Fall at the farm brings great weather, pumpkin patches, corn fields, wagon rides, and so much more. Come visit us for our Pumpkin Festival this weekend, October 8, 9, and 10th! Bring the whole family and catch a ride down to the pumpkin patch. This year, you get to choose how you travel to the pumpkin patch! We will have tractor train rides and horse-drawn wagons available to take you out to the pumpkin farm. If you would rather, you can pick a pumpkin from the market stand as well. Between the pumpkin patch and the market stand there is a pumpkin for everyone! From big pumpkins to small pumpkins, white pumpkins to orange pumpkins, we have it all! After pumpkin picking, or if pumpkin picking isn’t for you, the event has many more great activities to enjoy.
While exploring the event, keep your eyes out for our various characters and say hello and take some pictures! Stop by our Cow Milking Contest where challengers can step up to Ol’ Bessie and see who can “out-milk” each other. We are also offering pumpkin decorating kits so children can decorate their pumpkins right here on the farm. The kit even includes a sugar pumpkin for decorating. Your ticket to the pumpkin festival also gives you access to visit all our animals during your visit. Both the Barnyard and the North American Wildlife Exhibits will be open until 4pm each day of the event. While visiting the animals the children can stop for a pony ride guided by one of our staff. The pumpkin festival has something to offer to everyone!
After exploring the farm and the festival, you might be ready to sit down and relax for a few minutes. If that’s the case then you are in luck because magician Magic by George will be performed at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on October 8th and 9th and 11am and 1pm on October 10th, Columbus Day. George Saterial is an award-winning magician who has been putting on incredible shows for all ages for years.
