Zoo Admission

Charmingfare Farm is home to many traditional agricultural animals you would expect to see on a farm. Children will enjoy the Dairy Discovery Barn, home to our large hands-on petting area. After visiting with the farm animals you will follow the paths leading into the woods and there you’ll encounter our wildlife exhibits; home to some of North America’s greatest predators.

When can I visit the animals?

WEATHER PERMITTING – If needed, a Weather Alert will be posted on our website by 8am.

  • May (Sat & Sun from 11am to 3pm)
    Memorial Day (Mon, May 29, 2023 from 11am to 3pm)
  • June, July & August (Thu to Sun from 10am to 4pm)
  • September (Sat & Sun from 11am to 3pm) 
    Closed August 31st – September 4th. Come see our animals at the Hopkinton State Fair.
    Closing for the Season on September 24, 2023 for Fall and Winter Events.

During the Off Season
October, November, December, January, February and March

What animals are on the farm?

On the farm, we’ve got alpacas, beef cattle, chickens, dairy cattle, donkeys, draft horses, ducks, geese, llamas, miniature horses, Nigerian miniature goats, Old English Babydoll sheep, oxen, peacocks, pigs, ponies, rabbits, saddle horses and turkeys.

Some of our wildlife residents include black bears, wolf, camel, eagle owl, red fox, bobcat, coyote, porcupine, raccoon, fallow deer and skunks.

Unlimited Ride Wristbands

An Unlimited Ride Wristband is valid for any of the rides operating the day of your visit (note the dates of operation listed below). One wristband is required for each person, 24 months or older to participate on the rides listed below.  At least one adult  must accompany a child on the Horse-Drawn & Tractor Train Rides.

During your visit, you may ask about renting one of our wagons. Children love riding around the farm in one of these special wagons.

You Should Know

  • Admission Ticket(s) and Ride Wristband(s) are NON REFUNDABLE once purchased.

  • Please review our WEATHER POLICY .
    (Check if a weather alert has been posted before heading to the farm when there is inclement weather, especially when temperatures are 90 degrees or higher.)

  • WASH YOUR HANDS after visiting the animals. Parents should supervise children’s hand washing especially, before drinking or eating any food.

  • We cannot guarantee any particular animal(s) will be visible or on exhibit during your visit.

  • We deliberately allow the vegetation in our wildlife enclosures to become overgrown. This practice simulates a more natural habitat, creates a sense of security and we believe the ground stays cooler aiding in the comfort of the wildlife.

  • Our Animal Feed Cups DO NOT need meet the same standards of control as food for human consumption. Assume NO PRECAUTION has been taken towards anyone with a food allergy, especially with regards to peanuts.

  • The farm for the most part is wheelchair accessible. Please call 603 483-5623 x100 if you have any questions or concerns. We are always willing to accommodate request to the best of our ability.

  • FREE PARKING for all including campers and buses.

  • NO PETS ARE ALLOWED and there are no kennel facilities at the farm. Service animals are welcome.
