CSA Farm in New Hampshire

Charmingfare Farm’s CSA (Community Supported Agricultural) is taking new members for the 2022 CSA season.  Charmingfare Farm has offered this program since 2010.  We have some of our original members still participating in our program.  We are located on Route 27 in Candia, NH and our pickup day is on Wednesday from 4-6:30pm.

If you are not familiar with a CSA program this might be the perfect season to participate.  With the sky rocketing grocery prices buying from a local CSA Farm might be an advantage.  The membership provides you with 18 weeks of local seasonal vegetables and fruits.  All freshly picked that morning and brought up out of the field for your selection.  Charmingfare Farm lets their member select their vegetable allotment themselves.  In other words, we don’t not just put it in a box share like some other programs.  At the farm you can decide for yourself the vegetables you receive and we will provide signage on how many of each item you can select that week.

This program is like having your own garden because just like a garden it starts off slower in the beginning and then as the growing season begins to become more productive your share increases as well.  We have a wonderful variety of Vegetables and Fruits and obviously each year quantities may vary due to weather conditions, but the past few years have been remarkable.  Our program begins Wednesday, June 1st and ends Wednesday, September 28th

At Charmingfare Farm CSA members and their family can during the pickup time go visit all the animals and walk around the farm.  It makes a nice chance for families with young children to come see all the agricultural and wildlife animals for free.

We plant a wide variety of seasonal favorites starting with spring greens, lettuces, chives, radishes, rhubarb, fresh herbs, asparagus, fiddle heads, bunching onions, peas, mustard greens, garlic scapes, strawberries, kales, Swiss chard, celery, spinach, broccoli, green and yellow beans, cauliflower, cucumbers, cabbages, eggplant, turnip, onions, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, peppers, hot peppers, colored peppers, corn, carrots, beets, garlic, raspberries, peaches, cherries, blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, watermelon, cantaloupe, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, butternut squash, sugar pumpkins, several variety of apples and potatoes.  We do not grow all the fruit here so we trade with other local NH farmers for some of the fruits.  The farm uses organic practices but is not a certified Organic farm.
