The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for today (Sunday, January 18, 2026), with snow expected and slippery travel conditions.

Due to weather and trail conditions, Charmingfare Farm will NOT operate horse-drawn rides today.
Although a light layer of snow fell yesterday, our trails are still a sheet of ice underneath. The new snow cover creates a “padding” effect, which prevents the horses’ ice shoes from getting proper traction on the ice. This significantly increases the risk of slipping while pulling passengers.

For the safety of our horses and guests, we are not comfortable operating rides under these conditions.
Additionally, there is currently not enough snow for sleigh runners, so we cannot safely transition to sleigh operation at this time.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding — and with today’s snowfall and time to reset trails this week, we are hopeful we can be back on runners soon going forward.

Thank you for supporting animal welfare and safety first.
