Field Trip Information

Booking a Field Trip

  • Reservations for your field trip can easily be made online. It’s important to remember that everyone entering the farm, including children aged two years and older, teachers, chaperones, and bus drivers, must be accounted for in your reservation count.
  • We encourage you to secure your trip by paying in full at booking for the best experience. If needed, a 15% down payment option is also available for flexibility.
  • Please also take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Weather Policy, especially to prepare for any changes due to inclement weather.
  • Additionally, we’re pleased to offer special tours during our Maple Express event, tailored specifically for schools and homeschoolers.

You Should Know

Advance online reservations are required to ensure you receive the best possible experience. This special discounted field trip rate is exclusively available to state-licensed schools, daycares, and summer camps. If there are additional members of your group who wish to join separately and will be paying individually at the farm, they are welcome to enjoy all that our farm has to offer with a General Admission ticket at the full rate of $23.00.

  • Final Payment
One person must pay for the entire group via credit card, business/school check, or cash in large bills on the day of your visit.  The farm is unable to give refunds or cut a check or give back cash for the difference if your check is greater than the amount due. We will place a credit on your account with the farm.

  • Daily Schedule
Upon your arrival at the farm, you will receive maps and a schedule outlining the day’s events, including the Tractor Train Ride and any other activities planned for your group. Our schedules are finalized each morning by our staff before your group’s arrival, so we are unable to provide advance schedules.

***Tractor Train Rides are available to your group at no additional charge. Pony Rides are not included in your group’s visit.***

    Operational Considerations
The operation of rides at Charmingfare Farm is primarily influenced by weather conditions. Rides will not be operational if the morning forecast predicts rain or threats of thunderstorms. As a working farm, unexpected situations may require our staff’s attention, occasionally preventing ride or activites from happening.

We strive to ensure a memorable and enjoyable visit for all our guests, keeping safety and the well-being of our animals as our top priorities.

  • Parking / Buses
Parking is free of charge. If you are traveling by bus please do not unload children until the buses are instructed by a staff member to the designated bus parking area.

  • Daily Activities, Presentations & Map
The day of your visit the farm will have available a one sheet, which will have a listing of what will be happening at the farm the day of your visit. On the backside of this sheet you will find a map of the farm.

  • Picnic Areas
Shaded picnic areas are available for snack or lunch breaks. Groups are welcome and encouraged to bring snack and lunches.

  • Gift Shop
We do have a gift shop which offers beverages, snacks, ice cream and more.

  • Rest Rooms
Port-a-pots are available throughout the farm. There is hand sanitizer available in the port-a-pots and a hand washing station with running water beside the sheep barn.
