We are seeking a bookkeeper with small business experience. This candidate must be proficient with QuickBooks Desktop. This candidate must also have a solid understanding of accounting principles in order to independently and accurately categorize and record financial transactions. The perfect candidate will have these qualities and would also be willing to jump in and help with some administrative assistant work as well.
Responsibilities:
- Posting all income, expense and general ledger transactions
- Preparing payroll and filing all associated reports and returns
- Reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts
- Providing cash flow updates and ad-hoc reports to management
- Maintaining electronic document management
- Closing the books monthly and annually (for handoff to outside accountants)
Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
