Considerations for Improving the Charmingfare Pond

The Charmingfare farm pond is improving day by day. The waterfall and rocks are sure to make a difference. Although the improving conditions may take a while to appear, it is improving. Soon the pond will look like its original, beautiful, clear self. We have done a lot in order to save the pond, and our efforts will surely make a difference.

Even though we have added many things in order to improve the condition, the pond could still use a little more help. In order to keep the pond clean and clear, we should try and prevent as many ducks and geese from making the pond their home. It’s not a bad thing for them to drop by, but as they begin to make it their new habitat, more will soon join. As they stay there longer the waste they produce builds up at the bottom of the
pond, making it unclean. In order to do this, we should add something that deters them from landing, but nothing harmful.

Another option we could try is plantation around the pond. Adding the rocks will help keep most debris and waste out of the water, but not all. Plants not only add the aesthetics, they also add another layer of protection. The roots of the plants will suck up harmful waste that runs towards the pond. Their roots will limit what reaches the water, and whatever gets by them will end up stuck between the rocks, keeping the water healthy and clean. The plants will also add needed shade and beauty the pond, making it more pleasing to the eye.

These ideas will only help the pond more, making it improve quicker and better. The flowers and rocks will add a pleasing view to the pond while protecting it from harmful runoff, both from the road and animals. As the geese grow tired of the pond, their waste will diminish, helping to maked the pond clean once again.
